장점:

Works very well to convert image files to searchable pdf

단점:

I have zero complaints at this point in time

주석: It helped me a lot in converting my scanned documents into searchable PDF files and extracting tables and text with a high degree of confidence.

its accuracy in recognizing characters and formatting the output almost exact to the input file.

단점:

That it does not have very sophisticated image preprocessing, for example in the detection and elimination of signatures and seals, which in some cases makes pages saturated with them unrecognizable by ABBY FineReader.

OK - but could be better

주석: It's one of several utilities I use in my work process. I still like the program but I hope the next version will be a step forward and not backward like version 16 was.

ABBYY FineReader PDF makes the best OCR when I have a project with many pages. The cropping function is also good.

단점:

I still use version 15 which simply is better. Better OCR, better ropping, etc.

Use Abbyy as your pdf resder and editor

I've heard this in conversations from IT administrators. Consumers in organizations do not use the product because it is difficult for them.

Essential for ANYTHING PDF, meaning FOR EVERYBODY

How powerful it is to convert to and from PDF seemlessly, preserving all important formatting. I can create a custom PDF from multiple file formats and send it out to clients very quickly, which is essential, as I am doing everything, besides seeing my clients as a psychotherapist. I create PDF documents that are personalized for each client and they think I have spent days creating it. It helps THEM get better.

단점:

It's a little clunky as a pdf reader. I wish there was a lite version that would open when I just want to quickly read a pdf.

A program suite very suitable even for home office/tiny business

Of course the sense of ABBYY FineReader PDF is to create full access PDF documents with readable text. Maybe there COULD be a nice feature in adding additional pages to a scanned image with OR without previewing.

Great software for OCR!

장점:

Software is easy to use and the pdf conversion and image recognition is pretty great. I compared it versus a few python algorithms and ABBYY performed better and with the advantage of creating a searchable file.

단점:

The Mac functionality is pretty basic. It would need to have more features. Conversion from pdf to txt is good, but it could be better: some documents that used special symbols weren’t properly converted for example. This is important when using the software with documents in languages other than English.

Uses and benefits of ABBYY

주석: I have been using the tool for many years, it is very useful for archival work, facilitating the digitization of images, as well as the recognition of text, for consultation using tools such as the search engine and the PDF reader aloud.

An excellent tool for research, OCR makes it easier for blind people to access documents by activating Word and PDF read-aloud tools. This is essential for consulting large amounts of text at university as well.

단점:

When the source images are not of high quality, OCR fails, so it is necessary to edit by hand. This happens especially with old texts, with strange fonts, or with texts that have been highlighted.

주석: I use ABBYY FineReader PDF to convert scanned PDFs to Excel or Word so that they can be edited, I have been using ABBYY FineReader PDF for more than 4 years and I like this application as it provided a great OCR feature.

ABBYY FineReader PDF has the best and most accurate OCR tool in the world. The ABBYY FineReader PDF OCR tool supports all languages, especially the most complicated ones like Arabic language. Also, the OCR gives high quality and accurate results and can be converted to Excel, Word, and text.

단점:

ABBYY FineReader PDF is not the best PDF editor or viewer, the text editing is somehow more complicated than other PDF editor applications. I wish they could upgrade and enhance PDF editing features to become the most integrated PDF software.
