Easy to build Forum Tools

WebsiteToolbox for SaaS forums is great.

주석: The value for the money is incredible. Especially when we considered the cost of DevOps running our own / hosting our own forums (which we did prior to moving to WebsiteToolbox). They make it so easy, and their servers are always up. We are pleased with the support, and the fact that every time we contact them we get a human on the other end who knows what they are talking about. They have knowledgable staff, kind and considerate. We would highly recommend their solution to any company wanting to have forums (internal or external)

We like the ease of setup and the fact that the forums can be embedded on your own website. We don't use the embed feature (we have in the past with great success). We love the technical support. They are always ready to answer questions. We really love the fact that this seems to be one of a few SaaS vendors that offers Premium Feature Request Estimates and build outs. I really wish other SaaS vendors had this. For this one reason alone - we are pleased with the customizations they've provided.

단점:

Can be a bit difficult to adjust the CSS and layout of the categories page to just the way we wanted it. We needed custom JavaScript to embed our Vimeo Help Videos (cutting down on our help-desk tickets). The advanced search could be improved just a bit, and they need a few more features around moderation.

Basic Forum

주석: We used the forums for years until they increased the prices by 900%. Once set up the forums pretty much ran themselves with occasional moderation from us. It had been an affordable, convenient service until it wasn't.

Allowed us to add a forum to our website which would not allow 3rd apps.

단점:

Management of admins and moderators are a bit confusing. Forum control is separate from the account control.

Fantastic online support for a forum that is so Clear and Simple to Set Up and Use

주석: The main benefit is in building an interactive online learning community.
Another benefit is that sometimes the discussions can easily be edited into collaboratively written articles.

장점:

This Discussion Forum can easily be organized according to 3 levels (and more if you want to get more complex). This makes it so easy for us to organize discussions that follow our course curriculum. The website toolbox staff provide fantastic online support.

단점:

Although it is possible to create different user groups and run two or more separate discussion forums with the same account - this is cumbersome and stressful. So we have arranged at custom alternative with Website Toolbox.

Very strong forum utility with outstanding customer support

주석: We use Website Toolbox as our company's user forum - we contacted them in the midst of a site re-design, requesting assistance with porting *years* of past historical forum posts and user accounts from a crumbling platform crippled by spam users, not expecting that they not only could do this, but facilitated it and lost no data. Customer support with this company is consistently the best I've experienced in 20+ years as a web developer - highly responsive, very knowledgeable, does not drop the ball on issues. Any questions I've had have been answered promptly and thoroughly, any issues have been rectified. Our website is well over 500 pages, with full e-comm and locator functionality - of the four main components I deal with in managing the project, Website Toolbox's user forum is the least costly, least time consuming, highest performing component, hands down.

Not applicable - it checks all the boxes in terms of what we need and then some, and far exceeds expectations on customer support.

Fast and User Friendly

We needed a solution for our member association who had been using a ListServ for 30 years. It had to be easy to manage and support had to be responsive and strong. Website Toolbox nailed it!

단점:

We are still learning all of the features so I'd like to come back to this one after we have fully reviewed the services and features.

It simply works exactly how you would want it to.

주석: It simply works how you want it to. Amazing support team. Amazing technical team. The most thorough FAQ help documentation I have seen with 500-1000 customisability DYI FAQ's. If you want forums on your site, its WebsiteTool Box or nothing in my view. I never leave reviews, take this one seriously!

Easy to use. Easy to implement into my website. It simply works. When you want something changed, support is there instantly to chat and fixes are implemented within 60-90 minutes in my experience. Setting an unbelievable standard. I never leave reviews, so take this one seriously!

단점:

90% of features are as needed, with a large degree of customisability. I will be looking into custom development with the team for the remaining 10%!

Not easy to get a list of users so a mass email can be sent.

Website Toolbox Review

주석: Customer Service has been excellent! Always very responsive and helpful. They have taken suggestions given into consideration and several updates have been made, based on customer feedback. General set up is easy; cost is ok - depending on your needs there are tiers to chose from; available flexibility to set up your company theme, to match your website look or company logo/image

The ability to set up Topics and Categories for various communication categories is key to us, for its use. The flexibility provided in setting up these various groups allows us to address all areas of communication within the agency, by department, division, topic, area or project. The easy 'chat format', is similar to email and thus a comfortable layout for all to communicate in

단점:

not being able to maintain contacts that have not been active for a longer time period; losing those contracts does not allow us to then communicate with all in the agency via an email blast/main message; also, it is hard to upkeep the database of 'active members' as there is not 'unsubscribe feature' for members.

A True Asset

주석: We all love it! As the Admin, I find it very easy to use and create content for the users. The users all love the ability to chat and get info from each other.

As a Life Coach, I occasionally run book groups for my clients, when I do I use this software. It has helped my clients be able to learn and grow and change their lives. I write assignments and then each client reads the book and posts their input on the board for the group to read and interact with. It helps the client to not feel that they are the only person dealing with a specific situation and helps them leave their issues behind them. Thanks for this very useful tool!

단점:

I currently have one client who has changed her name and unfortunately there is no way to change her name on her account. We have discovered that in order to begin using her new legal name she must close out her old account and begin a new one, but that would be abandoning all previous posts and content. I wish it was easier to edit personal info so that my client could edit her name and keep her contributions.

Great potential realised!

주석: Excellent. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was my go to person and has really been key in the success of This Forum for me. The toolbox is easy to use once you get a good understanding. Spend time.

It was a little frustrating to begin and could be more intuitive. Need to really help walk your community through it and train them.

Website Toolbox was the only choice for me

주석: I was able to make a forum for my friends and I after struggling for several months trying to figure out BBEdit and other software like that. This was really, really helpful in fixing my problems. It's not without its flaws, but it's good enough for me!

The ease of use. I don't know much about coding at all, but the instructions and customer service are really helpful. The features were well worth the price after weighing everything; there are perhaps more complete solutions for companies out there, but not much for an individual who just wanted to make a forum.

단점:

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to add pages to a forum; I wish I could integrate it more fully with my website. Also, letting you only read the newest posts would be nice; not sure if there's a way to easily implement that.

Great forum system, great pricing, outstanding support

장점:

Easy to set up, everything works as expected, easy to customise. Customer support was 24x7 via livechat, very helpful and always gave right answer; dev team also implemented an improvement I suggested (ability to upload .ico files as favicons) within days of me suggesting it.

단점:

Threaded replies would be invaluable, also proper @mentions, and proper Tags support.

Two Forums

주석: The experience has been good with Website Toolbox is just a shame that Facebook has pretty much done away with forums.

It’s been around for a long time and could stand an update.

Good for basic forum software

Inexpensive, yet had the basics we needed. Fairly easy to use out of the gate.

단점:

Interface seemed a little outdated, but this didn't affect how I used it.

My review so far

주석: I feel okay about it. I've seriously considered changing

장점:

The ability to choose themes and ease of matching my website theme.

단점:

- Not being able to see metrics of emails sent from my forum, who's viewing them and who's not - Little odd behaviors like not showing all posts in a category when sub-categories exist - Bigger variety of custom themes

Feedback

장점:

The ability to add HTML/CSS to format the look of the site to match own personal website.

단점:

The default layouts (aesthetically speaking). They look dated and have some CSS-clunkiness to them.

Looks great but many implementation issues

주석: Not great! This has now been several months and the forum has not been fully utilised by our members.

장점:

We chose this because we wanted an easy to use, economical forum for our members and one which could integrate with our current website. We undertook lots of testing before launch and spent a long time setting it up - this was pretty easy to do. Tester feedback from members was positive.

단점:

Since paying for single sign-on we have had multiple issues with members not being able to access the forum. Website Toolbox have told me that the issue has been solved, and then it happens again. They clearly do not know what the problem is, and it is still not resolved.

Support Forum for Industrial Automation

주석: We are still growing our presence among our customers with the forum. I hope to start using it more effectively in the future.

It is fairly easy to setup and get going. The process to approve users and organize the forum are easy.

단점:

The customer support is slow sometimes. The SOE didn't work very well for a long time.

Lovely Forum Software

주석: I had searched for a forum software that meets my needs of ease of use, image adding and video embedding functionality. More importantly I wanted to monetize my forum using a method of payment that does not require me having to own a merchant account and website tool box had all of that.
One more thing, the security and hosting should be the responsibility of the software developers. I found website tool box and Website toolbox ticked all the boxes for me. Really cool forum software

Ease of use and intuitiveness. The website tool box is really easy to use once you start using it.

단점:

I am yet to find something that needs to be added because a lot of what I thought was missing was sorted out by the technical team

The innovation the "forum industry" need

주석: We are using the platform for interaction between user/customer and coaching/training team. This allows us to have all organized in one platform, avoiding the typical disorganization that appear with chat, e-mail, and so on.

장점:

I like that have all the features of a "forum", with a built-in system that make it closer to a "messaging system" (but without the chaos and disorganization that often you see in a typical "chat").

단점:

Even if it has very strong potentiality, it still resemble the functioning of an "old style forum" (but the team are working on that, and I think can transform it in the best team-team or team-customer communication system on the web).

Web site tool box

주석: Online forum for users

장점:

The ease of use and setup. Ability to share comments and files online

단점:

Limited look and feel. There could be better skinning options

Amazing customer service and product

장점:

integrates seamlessly into my website, wonderful customer service and support, easy to use from a user-standpoint as well as admin

단점:

I wish it'd integrate with my membership management software but that company hasn't been responsive in making it work- Website Toolbox tried though!
