Also, a high number of developers are on it which is a great boon for open source projects. > > **단점**: Data portability - the issue tracker is deliberately quite simple (and I don't think it should be made more complex) but after a certain point, does not scale to everyone's needs. It is hard to move off of GitHub, at least for tracking issues. The pull request review process is quite noisy and sometimes hard to get to grips with. For example, it's not clear that you need to "Submit" your review to actually propose changes. The propose changes feature is very nice as it means you don't have to leave your browser, but is not very clearly exposed in the UI. Some social elements are undesirable, like "Achievements", which lead to drive-by interactions with open source projects. Their users are "in GitHub", but not "in projects" so to speak. I believe this creates poor incentives for the open source community, as it brings people further apart from becoming long term contributors, as they are chasing virtual badges instead of real community engagement. > > Positive - it has historically and I would say it is still one of the best when it comes to keeping it simple.
