Google Firebase is a great tool for building and managing web and mobile applications. It is simple to set up and use, which greatly reduces development time. Since Firebase utilizes Backend as a Service (BaaS) model, it eliminates the need to manage servers, and with tools like Firebase Authentication, it makes it easy to implement secure cross-platform login options. The platform's ability to support cross-platform development is a win, this has allowed our Developers to simplify app creation for Android, iOS, and the web. Having Analytics and performance tools, especially Google Analytics and Crashlytics, they provide important insights into user behavior and app stability, helping our Developers make informed decisions and resolve issues quickly.

단점:

At times it feels like using Firebase ties you to the google ecosystem, We have noted it creates an over-reliance to other google services and might pose a challenge if you need to migrate your services to other platforms.

Firebase: The ultimate BaaS

주석: Firebase is a good choice for many projects, especially smaller ones. It's easy and quick to set up and use. The real-time database and authentication features are particularly useful. Smaller projects benefit from this tremendously, however the cost of this service may be too high for some projects.

- Easy to use and integrate into projects - Real-time connections and a NoSQL database - Provides many helpful tools like authentication and cloud storage - Works well with Google's ecosystem - Has a rather generous free tier for small projects

- The security rules are limiting and feel ambiguous to set up - Expensive for medium-to-large-scale projects - Some features (e.g. full-text search) require third-party services - Limited querying capabilities in the database (and no data relation option) - No self-hosted option

Not that exciting

Well it's a great platform to make apps. Which is great for my business

단점:

I don't know how to code so it wasn't very easy for me.

Really useful with a very generous free plan

What I like most is Firebase Authentication. It's powerful and easy to setup on any project.

I really hope that one day Firebase will implement a nice CMS system that will be connected directly to Firestore or another database system.

Firebase integrated in marketing strategies

주석: I recommended a lot of simple, growing, starting, and scaling projects to my fellow developers. Its pay-as-you-go is pay-as-you-go. Having hosting, database, authentication services, and everything coming from Google Cloud makes it a perfect one-stop solution for any project you are working with.

Having everything in the same place is always satisfying. As Firebase and Google Cloud become a must-have in current serverless implementation, it is excellent to find Firebase getting the love it deserves regarding functionality. The documentation is top-tier, and the connectivity with any other platform you use to store, share, or send data makes it a breeze to use Firebase.

단점:

The dashboard interconnection with the Google Cloud panel is unfinished, so you must jump between multiple screens to find the necessary information. It is there in the same platform and architecture, but it takes 3-4 clicks to get to where you want to be.

All in one solution

주석: I use it daily and it works pretty easily, fast, with minimal setup and allow me to do all essentials task easily.

I like that you have a single tool doing most of the necessary task for you. Analytics, Feature Flags, AB Testing, Hosting, Authentication and more. It is also pay as you go so it is easy to setup for free, use it freely for quite some time until you reach the point where it s time to pay when you are properly settled. They offer all those tools that works pretty decently together and are very easy to setup.

단점:

The documentation is sometimes a bit confusing, and the pricing can also be slightly hard to understand since each feature can have their own pricing.

Firebase / Firestore and cloud functions has automated my business

주석: Absolutely positive all round. As I mention above, it has saved time and money and removed a lot of laboursome tasks.

I started using firebase to run cloud functions, and then store data to firestore. I like the firebase interface. I like how event triggers function logically and the ability to use the api's as well. All in all, over the last 12 month I have managed to automated a significant amount of processes that would have otherwise required manual intervention, thus saving time and money. Its a win - win.

단점:

I haven't encountered any issue to dislike.

Every app needs to get started with firebase

It has a good documentation, and provides many feactures for free, ideal if your starting a new app or bussines and don´t have a lot of money to get stated, so obviously have the best integration with google products

단점:

a SQL database is needed in firebase, i know it exists en google could, but it would be a great differences against other products

Awesome Baas for app

장점:

Firebase includes a lot of easy to use services, a very time-saving tool

단점:

It's missing an sdk for unity desktop, the pricing it's a little high

Good Platform for Mobile App Developers

장점:

I like the complete package that Firebase offers to it's users that makes it easy for mobile app developers to insert features easily to their apps. It's great that Firebase also is linked closely with Google Cloud which makes management much easier.

단점:

Firebase isn't that complete and I personally would go using other enterprise services for production apps. It is great for small projects but scaling makes it a bit hard to use this platform.

Firebase for Delivery App

It's always a learning curve to understands where each resource on Firebase is located other than that a perfect experience

장점:

Cloud Platform for Hobbyist

장점:

The documentation for each of the feature in Firebase is very comprehensive and there's a lot of community support on any error that you face. The feature set is also very extensive and you can develop almost anything your app needs on it.

단점:

Data access code is very coupled to Firebase implementation. This will make it hard if you want to migrate off Firebase one day.

why i use Firebase for my mobile Games / Apps

주석: Overall it have many Amazing services you can use and its easy to learn it Quickly Plus its crucial to have Firebase services in your Games or Apps even in your website/WebApp . I have great experience with Firebase Services

its Free for most of what you do ,and it has great products like Analytics, Push Messaging to send notification to your users plus Database to store plyers progress or other data you want to store safely and the Firebase authentication service is the best authentication system you can implement easily while you are not worrying about security.

단점:

when your users grow it might be costly to maintain the service

Foundational for mobile apps

주석: Plenty of different modules with a "plug and play" approach, very useful for multiple parts of the development and monitoring of an app. Integrates seamlessly with Google Analytics and provides a standard approach to gather data.

App distribution is made extremely easy when using Firebase

Remote config seems somewhat limited compared to other solutions in the market.

The cost, beign in Africa and still a students, implementing large apps will be costful for me, but they have implemented a pay as you go plan, and some features are free up to a certain point

I needed for one project, and finally the client didn't accept the project so only used during the testing.

Good platform overall

주석: Overall is a good platform that offers many services in one place, from database to storage, etc.

Many useful services in one place, sdk for frontend and backend, and all main programming languages are supported.

단점:

Billing could be improved, you cannot set a limit for the spending. It's easy to reach a huge bill if you have a bug.

Firebase Review

주석: Our core functionality for it which is the authentication service is great, we were previously using AWS Cognito to do that, but I did not enjoy the experience setting it up, I think Firebase is an easier implementation to setup and just experience.

Ease of functionality, we use the Authentication and Database services and they are fairly easy to implement and use with our backend services.

단점:

Not a lot of negatives at all, I think as you scale you might want to look at other solutions. But with the document and collection feature for the databases, I personally believe it is a modern implementation of databases which is good for us, but it might not be everyones cup of tea, and I think MongoDB might just scale better if thats what you're looking for.

Easy to use application, I recommend it.

단점:

This is really annoying. it has limitations on the level of customization that can be achieved, and that it may not be suitable for projects with very specific requirements.

Reliable tool for beginners

Their UI is one of the best around, especially for beginners. Integration with other google products it is as easy as it should be!

단점:

Their documentation is not the best, some of it are outdated. push notifications are great for newcomers, but are extremely limited. It can be very costly for larger user database.

주석: The major thing i disliked about it is that it provides low security standards, and also their rules and regulations becomes a limitations for me. after their recently updated policy my 1 year ago project was downed for the reason of not integrating it with their new policies AFTER ONE YEAR, they didn't gave any prior information regarded it also.
