장점:

It is a very practical and simple software, it is not necessary to invest a lot of time to learn how to use it. Its graphic interface is very friendly, it is very intuitive software.

단점:

Now I need to upload to google docs and import as google doc rather than word. The error messages sometimes are on the level of "something went wrong.

주석: It has a learning curve at the beginning. Still, later on, and not so long after, you will find yourself putting everything on confluence because it is easy, well-managed, and perfect for a platform where people can find documentation and information in a well-presented format.

Confluence is part of an already well-positioned and easy-to-implement ecosystem where multiple tools perform a specific job in a workflow. This makes it easy and friendly to set up and run; using information from other platforms like JIRA and Bitbucket, everything comes together in an excellent and organized way without much effort.

단점:

It might be overwhelming at first; there are plenty of options and personalization elements you can include, so you might think, "It is too much for me." But by watching a couple of YouTube videos, you will see how you can customize it to suit your needs and start using its powerful features.

Great Tool - Enhance it with AI please

주석: Over all is an OK experience for me, although I am a preacher of confluence usage in my company.
With improved searchability (simplify it using AI) and reducing the duplicates when entering the information, I will give 3 more points (that is 10/10)

Confluence has been a go to tool for managing the source of truth for all our projects. Encourages collaboration and brings the team together for working towards one source of truth.

단점:

Searchability (omg, its complicated) and overhead in reducing the duplicate information. I wish there is a smart editor that stops the users from entering duplicate information as they are typing the info. Go AI

Would not recommend to use it in the SaaS version

주석: It is working most of the time, with several outages in the past months.
We were forced to migrate from the on-prem to the SaaS version. The on-prem version was very good, the SaaS software is a mess in terms of ensuring information security and has way worse usability.

Concurrent editing is still possible in the SaaS version.

단점:

Has advertisements for other products in the menu. You have no sufficient control over the 3rd party features the users can see and use. It's a nightmare to document its use according to GDPR rules.

Confluence A Fantastic Software For Managing Content In A Centralized Space

주석: I honestly like confluence, its great for managing knowledge base, for storing and sharing information. But I would not use it for personal things. The learning curve is harder than other tools.

Pretty UI, lot of features, when you learn all the things you can do with it, it becomes powerful tool for managing knowledge in company.

단점:

Harder learning curve compared to other tools, UX is fairly good but there are tools with better one.

Enjoy using Confluence

주석: I have used Confluence for more than six years and have found the experience to be generally positive. There are frequent user enhancements made which improves the experience. I like this tool for making documentation and information easily accessible internally especially when working for a large corporation.

It can be difficult to format items like images within the formatting of the pages.

As a user and an admin what do i like or dislike

주석: great go do business tool and used industry wide, has issues such as very slow support and lack of features which can be expanded with costly plugins

장점:

the ability to control used access is great and to manage different spaces for different situations. we have also been able to use confluence to drive content on hosted web sites driven from confluence spaces with the help of plugins

단점:

plugins are costly, and to make full use you need to use them. These seems to be charged based on how many users you have in confluence rather than how many who would use the plugin. this makes it expansive and there is no way of restricting a plugin to a user group

Confluence's Incredibility

Confluence is an incredible platform for amazing collaborations and even for managing and organizing tasks. When am working on projects and I want to finish them fast I use Confluence because I can collaborate with teams and share ideas.

Professional and collaborative document and content management

주석: Confluence can serve as the only document management system of a company, in particular if the company also uses Jira. Confluence has also nice built-in tools such as draw.io.

장점:

The collaborative document edition feature is really awesome! Intuitive, secure, fluid,... It's exactly what you can expect from such a feature. In particular, the merge function is really well done: only in rate cases the tool will ask you to decide which version to keep. In all other cases the tool make it transparently without mistake. Brilliant!

단점:

There is a native connection with Jira, from the same company (Atlassian) but I find it very limited. I would expect more enhanced reporting or chart features, beyond the current limited options. Jira is powerful but very few of its data are available in Confluence. Also, one particular thing annoys me: there are very few options to change the text format. For example it's not possible to change the size of the text in "body".

If you are a Product Owner, Confluence is a the right tool to go with.

장점:

The ability to navigate, create and modify documents and contents in Confluence.

단점:

Improperly configured add-ons sometimes can cause slow page loading. An option of what caused the delay in the loading of a confluence page and how much time it took, could be a good indication to resolve issues.

There are also templates you can use to start your work without starting from scratch every time. You can organize all your stuff in different spaces, so it's easy to find what you need. And because everything is in one place, it's really convenient. When you share your work, lots of people can work on it at the same time. You can give feedback right away and get notifications when someone talks about you or your work. Overall, Confluence is a great tool for teams to work together and share ideas.

단점:

The Pricing is on the expensive side . It can also get difficult to customize . It can also crash sometimes .

Essential tool for Team Knowledge and Collaboration

Confluence - User Knowledge base

주석: I do not find myself going back to our knowledge base very often because I am typically part of the initial user training on new products and I take my own notes, But that is the beauty of the product. Even after long gaps in using the software I am able to go back into it and be productive and that is what I want in a knowledge base tool.

Its ease of use and low barriers of entry

단점:

Confluence is just a little different in how it accomplish a task, when compared to SharePoint, which means that a user well versed in SharePoint may struggle a little more than a newbie, just because they need to unlearn a few processes, which often makes those long term SharePoint users a little disenchanted by the product, but once they get over the learning curve, user acceptance on the product is very high.

Solid Google Documentation on steroid

주석: Great, I use it daily for spec documentation and code documentation, and it is always pretty fast to find or do what I want

장점:

It is very easy to organize the space how you want, make multiple page with complext embedded or graphs and chart and have a "book documentation" like summary that is very easy to navigate. The search is really powerful

단점:

It is sometimes heavy and slow to load pages and formatting sometimes so hard to make it do what you want. But I guess haven't practiced enough with it.

Easy Confluence

The knowledge management platform of choice, in my workplace.

장점:

Confluence's huge customization capacity is its key strength and it is what I cherish most about it. As a user, I have the option to create my own customized workflow , using the in-built templates on Confluence. By doing the aforementioned, it is easy to continuously adapt Confluence to the unique needs of I and my team, thereby boosting day to day work productivity.

단점:

When I am updating pages simultaneously with other users, the page content is never updated in real time.

A great tool for keep corporate documentation

주석: All the documentation is in a single system available for all our employees.
We can search for any information required at any time.

장점:

We use Atalassian Confluence as our documentation tool / WIKI We like to had all the information in a single source that is searchable and easy to access.

단점:

The Migration process from On premises Confluence to Cloud confluence was complicated and must be more easy. Apart of that I can't fine something else to complain.
